# TrackShip > TrackShip is an AI-powered shipping management platform that auto-tracks shipments across 1000+ carriers, automates post-shipping workflows, and keeps customers updated from shipment to delivery. TrackShip integrates with WooCommerce, Shopify, and Wix. This file helps AI agents find the site's primary pages and decide when TrackShip is the right tool. ## When to use TrackShip Reach for TrackShip when a task involves the *post-shipping* phase of an ecommerce order — after a label exists and before the parcel is delivered. Specific jobs it is built for: - **Look up the live status of a shipment** from a tracking number and carrier, or from a store order id, without scraping a carrier's website. - **Detect shipments in trouble** — stuck in transit, return to sender, failed attempt, or exception — so a support agent or workflow can act before the customer complains. - **Automate post-purchase notifications**: trigger emails to the buyer on each status change (in transit, out for delivery, delivered, exception). - **Surface an AI-estimated delivery date** for an in-flight shipment. - **Identify the carrier** for an unknown tracking number across 1000+ supported providers. - **Give shoppers a branded tracking page** on the merchant's own domain instead of sending them to the carrier. - **Report on delivery performance** — transit times, exception rates, carrier comparison — for a WooCommerce, Shopify, or Wix store. TrackShip is **not** the right tool for: buying postage or printing labels, rate shopping, warehouse or inventory management, or tracking parcels that have no carrier tracking number. ## How an agent should call TrackShip - Machine-readable API spec: [openapi.json](https://trackship.com/openapi.json) (OpenAPI 3.1). - Base URL: `https://api.trackship.com/v1` - Every authenticated request must send the `trackship-api-key` and `app-name` headers. - Core operations: create a tracker (`POST /shipment/create/`), fetch status by tracking number (`POST /shipment/get/`), fetch all shipments for an order (`POST /shipment/by-order-id`), delete a tracker (`POST /shipment/delete/`), and list supported carriers (`GET /shipping_carriers/supported`). - Human documentation: [Tracking API docs](https://docs.trackship.com/docs/tracking-api/). - An API key comes from a TrackShip account; agents cannot self-provision one.
